The Other Side Academy (TOSA) is a 2021 Impact100 grantee. They provide a two-year life skills and vocational training program for men and women who have struggled with addiction, incarceration, and homelessness. TOSA used our grant to create a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and culinary training program. The Kitchen, which is fully staffed and maintained by students at the academy, produces up to 150+ meals a day. The Impact100 grant funded commercial ovens and stoves as well as a restaurant-sized dishwasher and food preparation areas. Students now hone their culinary skills in this beautiful kitchen while preparing delicious and nutritious meals for their fellow classmates.
