Member Tina Davis hosted our first New Member Orientation of 2026 on January 31. Margaret Prentice likens these quarterly sessions as a first opportunity to meet other new members and hopefully the first steps in developing friendships in Impact100. Eight new members participated.

  • Margaret Prentice, Membership committee lead, spoke of our history, mission, and vision.
  • Board President Deb Brackney described the magic of combining our individual contributions to awarding a $100,000 Impact Grant to one Denver area not-for-profit. She described in detail the work of the 70 members of Grants Committee who are already at work in evaluating this year’s applications.
  • Cindy Goldman, Board Vice President, described Trust Based Philanthropy and how the $25,000 Accelerator Grant is based on those principles.
  • Secretary, Board Member and Governance Chair Elizabeth Steele highlighted our committees and ways of volunteering.
  • Alicia Robin, Grants Management Chair, described the opportunity to serve as a liaison to our grantees.
  • Board Member and Treasurer Barbara Sharp described her duties and encouraged new members to volunteer for the finance committee, as they do have a need in a couple areas.

The next New Member Orientation will be on March 21 and is open to both new members and any member who wants to bring a friend to learn about the great work we support across greater Denver’s not-for-profits.
